Kansas State proved to be a great team as they beat the Wizards 43-13 at Memorial Stadium in Manhattan.  Topeka gave their rookies plenty of game time as they used the match as an opportunity to build up some experience as some of TRFC's vets were out with injuries.

The Wizards did continue to improve on the season skill wise and Jon Cox carried on with his scoring streak of 13 points on a try and two kicks for points off of penalties.  Josh Nortnon did a fine job filling in for Coach Marts on the evening as well.  The tackling on the night was better as well as the support was very spirited.  Maintaining possession, especially after rucks won, is still a struggle but overall the team was pleased with the game.

Playing in Memorial Stadium on a Friday night was a great experience and the Wizards enjoyed the game.  It was played in front of a good crowd and in comfotable, but windy weather.  TRFC looks to have more chances to play night games in the future.

Topeka will be up against Union foe, KC Northland on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 2pm at Hodge Field in KC.
